<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide apparatus which includes a narrow elongate probe which is configured so as to be inserted into the body of a living subject. <P>SOLUTION: A probe is flexible and includes two or more sensors consisting of single coils of very fine wire wound around the backbone of the probe. The two or more sensors transmit signals proximally through the fine connecting wires to a position processor.
