PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system effective to enhance image permanence difficult media. SOLUTION: A printing system 100 for enhancing image permanence includes at least one photoreceptor 110 configured to apply an image to medium sheets 150, 160, and 170, at least one fixing mechanism 120 configured to fix the medium sheets 150 and so on, at least one inverting mechanism 130 configured so as to invert the medium sheets 150 and so on, and a controller 180 configured so as to control the at least one photoreceptor 110, the at least fixing mechanism 120, and the at least one inverting mechanism 130 so as to fix the medium sheets 150 and so on twice using the at least one fixing mechanism 120 either before any other image is applied to the medium sheets 150 and so on or after applying a preselected secondary image to the medium sheets 150 and so on.
