<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leakage sensor of a simple structure capable of inexpensively identifying the type of leaked liquid such as water and oil completely without contact with the liquid. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The leakage sensor includes: a parallel electrode which forms a leaked liquid sensing part; a circuit for oscillation electrically connected to the parallel electrode; a tube which coats the parallel electrode and the circuit for oscillation; a frequency discriminating part for identifying the type of leaked liquid on the basis of the oscillation frequency of an oscillation circuit made of the parallel electrode and the circuit for oscillation; and an alarm part for issuing an alarm according to results of the identification.
