PURPOSE: A method of performing an alarm event and a mobile communication terminal thereof are provided to perform the second alarm of a sound mode according to response information of a user about the first alarm, thereby preventing a user from overlooking at the alarm. CONSTITUTION: The first alarm is performed according to setup information of a mobile communication terminal if an alarm event generation condition stored in a mobile communication terminal is satisfied(S310). A response of a user for the first alarm is detected(S320). The second alarm is performed in the sound mode if an alarm stop response by a user is not detected(S330). The response of the user is detected using an operation recognizing sensor.
