PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding container for a rolled object which is efficiently stored and transported because the container can be changed into a thin panel-like shape when it is not used, which is high in joint strength between members when assembled and which is easily assembled and disassembled. SOLUTION: This folding container 1 for a rolled object which protects and stores a rolled object formed by rolling a belt-like product around a core tube includes two peripheral face panels 2 and two end face panels 3. The panels 2 includes a square center face 2a which is wider than the diameter of the rolled object and is longer than the width of the belt-like product and two side faces 2c adjoined on both sides of the panels 2 in the width direction through a hinge part 2b. The total of the width of the side faces is larger than the width of the center face. The end face panel is formed with a holding hole 3a for holding the core tube of the rolled object R on its center.
