<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element which has a resonator structure and emits fluorescence from the opposite side of an incident side of pumping light, and to provide a lighting device and a display device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting element comprises: a glass substrate 11; a phosphor layer 13; a wavelength-selective translucent reflective layer 14 which reflects light having a wavelength not exceeding a first predetermined wavelength; a wavelength-selective transflective layer 12 which transmits light having a wavelength not exceeding a second predetermined wavelength and reflects light exceeding it; and a pumping light source which irradiates the phosphor layer with light through the wavelength-selective transflective layer to excite a phosphor, wherein the first wavelength λ<SB>1</SB>and second wavelength λ<SB>2</SB>satisfy λ<SB>1</SB>≥λ<SB>2</SB>. The phosphor layer is disposed between the wavelength-selective translucent reflective layer and substrate, the wavelength-selective transflective layer is provided between the phosphor layer and substrate or on the opposite side of the substrate from the phosphor layer, and a resonator 15 is constituted between the wavelength-selective translucent reflective layer and wavelength-selective transflective layer, so that fluorescence λ<SB>F</SB>is emitted from the wavelength-selective translucent reflective layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
