<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display capable of restraining a light leakage current from being generated, while reducing the generation of a parasitic capacitance between a light shielding layer and a gate electrode, in the display including a thin film transistor having bottom gate structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The display includes a substrate laminated sequentially with the light shielding layer (40) for restraining a light from get incident into a semiconductor layer, a first insulating film (31), the gate electrode (22) of the thin film transistor, a second insulating film (32), and the semiconductor layer (21). The light shielding layer (40) is formed not to overlap at least one part of the gate electrode (22) with the light shielding layer (40) via the first insulating film (31).
