PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IP phone system that requires no intentional determination of a user of an extension phone, and at the same time, selects an IP line channel that is surely available and notifies the extension phone even if a request for catching an IP line channel is delivered. SOLUTION: In response to an off-hook that is a transmission startup operation of an extension phone or to a pushdown of a specific dial (dial key that has a special number for catching an outside line), a plurality of IP line channel candidates allocated to the extension phone are contained in a line catch request message and transmitted to a server; the server catches an available single IP line channel from controlled IP line channels of the plurality of candidates requested by the extension phone and notifies the extension phone.
