PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device enabling an image recording part and a transfer mechanism to be exactly positioned without the transfer mechanism being extremely inclined by force given from the outside to the transfer mechanism in an inkjet printer wherein the transfer mechanism is lifted and lowered by a wire. SOLUTION: The image recording device 10 has: the image recording part 12 for recording an image in a recording medium; the transfer mechanism 13 located under the image recording part 12; and a lifting mechanism 14 for lifting and lowering the transfer mechanism 13. The transfer mechanism 14 is supported by the image recording part 12 with four wires 52a, 52b, 52c, and 52d, each of which is respectively fixed to reeling parts 53<SB>1</SB>, 53<SB>2</SB>, 53<SB>3</SB>, and 53<SB>4</SB>mounted on a reeling shaft 55. The adjacent portions of the reeling parts 53<SB>1</SB>, 53<SB>2</SB>, 53<SB>3</SB>, and 53<SB>4</SB>are connected to each other by connection parts with a rattle larger than a predetermined amount.
