The vehicle e.g. electric vehicle (10), has an electrical power supply unit (12) for moving the vehicle, and a traction battery (14) for storing electricity. A heating device (16) is provided for providing heat during a non electric heating process. The heating device includes a reaction area for an exothermic chemical redox reaction process, using a catalyst, and a phase transition process, and a reversible reaction of chemical process using reactants, and a heat pump and/or a heat accumulator designed as a latent heat storage unit.
