<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color correction technology which does not produce color failure by simple processing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An intermediate image creation unit 71 replaces a pixel value of a high saturation pixel in an input image with an achromatic value. A correction value calculation unit 72 acquires an intermediate image, and calculates a color correction value based on the intermediate image.
