<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoke sensor for preventing the rays of light reflected on a light shielding body installed in a smoke sensing room from becoming any stray light. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A light shading body 41 for restricting a light projection range (solid line A1 and region surrounded by A1) is formed in a smoke sensing room 5. The light shielding body 41 is provided with a light shielding face 41a for receiving direct rays of light from the light projection part 10, and the light shielding face 41a is arranged so that an obtuse angle is made to a light projection axis L2.
