<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating body supporting device securing sufficient operation efficiency. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Gap amounts of gaps 39a, 39b, 43a, 43b are obtained based on the operation state of a compression rotor 31 and a turbine rotor 32, and a bearing 46 is moved in the radial direction based on the obtained gap amounts. The gap amounts around the central axes of the gaps 39a, 39b, 43a, 43b are obtained by estimating a deformation amounts of the compression rotor 31 and the turbine rotor 32 in the radial direction by taking into consideration the effects of various operation states such as effects of high speed rotation, effects of flight load, and effects of combustion gas temperatures. When the gap amounts around the central axes are not uniform, a piezoelectric element 2 is extended/contracted and the bearing 46 is moved to positively correct inclination of a shaft 33, and the compression rotor 31 and the turbine rotor 32 are adjusted in positions so that the gap amounts become uniform.
