PURPOSE: An electric compressor with an inverter is provided to increase the compressor efficiency by preventing overheat of the inverter and the compressor due to the inverter. CONSTITUTION: An electric compressor with an inverter comprises a first flow path(610), a second flow path(620), and a valve. The first flow path is connected to a compression chamber from a refrigerant intake port. The second flow path is connected to the inverter from the refrigerant intake port. The valve controls an opening angle of the first flow path and the second flow path. The inverter comprises a temperature sensor(640) and a vent. The valve operates according to the temperature sensor. The vent guides the refrigerant, which flows through the second flow path, to the compression chamber.
