The system has two blowers (5, 7), an evaporator (3) and a heater (4), where the evaporator and heater are arranged on an air downstream side of the blowers. One of the two blowers (5) draws-in fresh air from a fresh air opening (6) in a rear area of the vehicle. Other of the two blowers (7) draws-in circulating air from a vehicle interior from two circulating air openings (8) that are arranged on opposite sides of the vehicle. A circulating air-intake air conduit runs above and/or below the former blower and leads to the latter blower from one of the circulating air openings.
