<p>PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display with an overcoat film is provided to prevent deformation of a photo-alignment layer pre-tilt, thereby preventing generation of stains. CONSTITUTION: A pixel electrode(191) is formed on the first substrate(110). The first alignment layer(11) is formed on the pixel electrode. The first alignment layer is aligned to the vertical direction of the first substrate. The second substrate(210) is opposite to the first substrate. A common electrode(270) is formed on the second substrate. The second alignment layer(21) is formed on the common electrode. A liquid crystal layer(3) is formed between the first alignment layer and the second alignment layer. A light absorption layer is formed between the first substrate and the first alignment layer and between the second substrate and the second alignment layer.</p>
