PURPOSE: A piston for a vehicle and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to heat-treat a pin boss part to bear the surface pressure without pin bushing. CONSTITUTION: A piston for a vehicle comprises: a head(110) forming a part of a combustion chamber of an engine; a ring groove(120) in which a piston ring is mounted; a landing part(130) formed between ring grooves; a pin boss part(150) in which a pin hole(140) is formed to press-fit the piston pin; and a skirt part(160) receiving axial pressure.
