PURPOSE: A rain attenuation correction method using polarimetric parameter differential phase is provided to perform more correct weather forecasting by effectively compensating rain attenuation. CONSTITUTION: A rain attenuation correction method using polarimetric parameter differential phase comprises the steps of: calculating A by chemical formula 1 by changing the position of a first point from a standard point along the beam by predetermined increment distance based on all beams generated by radar and then increasing α by 0.05 in 0.01-1.01 range between a first point(r0) and a second point(r1) separated from the first point; obtaining pi(Φ) by substituting the A to chemical formula 2; obtaining error for each α by substituting the pi(Φ) to chemical formula 3; obtaining the distribution of α at each beam by comparing error at each α by sections and repeating a process of deciding α minimizing errors; and compensating reflectance and gradation reflectance by calculating rain attenuation ratio using the distribution of α.
