A sensor device comprises a time point measurement unit which measures time point information and adds the time point information to an output relating to the generation of a fault detection signal which is outputted from a portion subjected to fault diagnosis and an output relating to the generation of a sense signal. This allows associating the fault detection signal and the sense signal with each other by time information. Alternatively, the sensor device comprises an output circuit unit which outputs the fault detection signal and the sense signal at the same time point as the fault detection signal in association with each other by a time division system.
