<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sphygmomanometer equipped with the function of measuring a circumferential length of an upper arm as a region to be measured accurately and elaborately. <P>SOLUTION: The sphygmomanometer includes a cuff 20A for enclosing an air bag and an inflating/deflating mechanism for inflating and deflating the air bag. The cuff 20A includes a cylindrical cuff body part 30, and the cuff body part 30 includes a tightening belt 31, 32 wound around the outside of the air bag and a tightening length adjusting mechanism 50 for variably adjusting a tightening length of the tightening belts 31, 32 relative to the upper arm. The sphygmomanometer is further equipped with an upper arm circumferential length measuring part for measuring the circumferential length of the upper arm by using the tightening belts 31, 32. The tightening belts 31, 32 have a bar code 74 for specifying the circumferential length of the upper arm, and the circumferential length measuring part includes a photoelectric sensor for specifying the circumferential length of the upper arm by reading this marker 74. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
