<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a fee of data reception of a portable terminal device when received facsimile data are transferred to the portable terminal device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A facsimile processing section 2 receives facsimile data from a public line 7, and causes a data storage section 3 to store the received data. A terminal information storage section 6 previously stores the information inherent in the portable terminal device 9 (e.g. display performance) and the fee of data reception. In generating transfer data to be transferred to the portable terminal device 9 from the facsimile data stored in the data storage section 3, a transfer data generating section 5 generates the transfer data while considering the information about the fee of data reception stored in the terminal information storage section 6.
