<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image device 100 capable of reducing crack in a pattern with little variation in color and indicating distinctly a highly precise pattern of an edge or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The image device 100 comprises a pixel data-obtaining means 14 which obtains pixel data of pixel of interest and circumference pixel from an imaging element 12, an edge direction-deciding means 28 which decides whether or not a pattern of an edge or the like is formed of circumference pixel which is provided centering the pixel of interest, and a correction means and a color interpolation means. The correction means makes correction by the correcting value obtained from the pixel data of circumference pixel arrayed in symmetry centering the pixel of interest when the pixel of interest is determined as a defective pixel by the defective pixel determining unit 22 and the direction is not determined as the edge direction by an edge direction-deciding means 28.
