<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane filtration system capable of preventing the degradation of the filtration performance as much as possible by controlling the dispersant concentration of raw water into an appropriate concentration, and to provide an operation method thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The temperature of the raw water is detected by a water temperature sensor in the step S1, a water recovery ratio table is searched in the subsequent step S2, to calculate the water recovery ratio η corresponding to the temperature of the raw water. A dispersant injection table is searched in the step S3 to calculate an injection amount of the dispersant 2 corresponding to the water recovery ration η. First to third water discharge valves are controlled to open/close in the next step S4, based on the water recovery ratio η calculated in the step 2, and the dispersant is injected into the raw water by controlling the injection amount by an injection pump to get the dispersant concentration corresponding to the water recovery ratio η.
