PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for generating data and an apparatus and a method for searching data are provided to generate an index tree and a tree bucket made of a list bucket including a search word, thereby quickly searching a document including desired search words. CONSTITUTION: A data bucket generating unit(110) generates a data bucket including contents data. An index list generating unit(120) generates an index list. A list bucket generating unit(130) generates a list bucket. An index tree generating unit(140) generates an index tree. The search words are successively arranged in each node comprising the index tree.
