PURPOSE: An encryption apparatus in a system on chip and a method thereof are provided to select and deform a seed for encryption to encrypt/decrypt, thereby providing a security technique of a hardware level. CONSTITUTION: Data and an address are inputted(601). An encryption seed value is selected from a pre-stored seed table using partial bits of the address(605). The selected encryption seed value is deformed using the remaining bits of the address(607). The data is encrypted to the deformed seed value(609).
