PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scattering preventive pottery having impact resistance more excellent than that of the conventional one and capable of preventing fragments from scattering when the pottery is broken. SOLUTION: The scattering preventive pottery incldues: a pottery 2 composed of a stock 21 made of ceramics and a glaze 22 provided at the surface side face of the stock 21; and a reinforcing part 3 formed at the back side face as a face on the opposite side to the surface side face of the pottery 2 and made of fiber-reinforced plastic. The fiber-reinforced plastic preferably has translucency. The fiber-reinforced plastic preferably being glass fiber-reinforced plastic obtained by hardening glass fiber 31 with a resin 32.
