The device has a rear opening frame on which a hollow handle (20) for closing or opening the opening frame is mounted. The handle includes a signaling light source (54) e.g. LED, emitting light in exterior direction of a motor vehicle. The handle comprises an external shell (32) made of polycarbonate and including catadioptric zones (58). An end (36) is provided with a bracket (46) extending through an opening (26) of the shell until a pivoting axle (48) of the handle.
