<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a promoter and inhibitor of osteoblast cell differentiation, an osteogenesis promoter, an osteoporosis drug, an anti-obesity agent, and a screening method, capable of controlling differentiation from mesenchymal stem cells to osteoblast cells, particularly, to fat cells while controlling differentiation from mesenchymal stem cells to osteoblast cells. <P>SOLUTION: The osteoblast cell differentiation promoter, the osteogenesis promoter, the osteoporosis drug, and the anti-obesity agent contain a nucleic acid chain, as an effective ingredient, which inhibits expression of at least one of elk-1 gene, dbi gene, and map4k4 gene. The osteoblast cell differentiation inhibitor contains a nucleic acid chain, as an effective ingredient, which inhibits expression of at least one of osbpl2 gene, rab7 gene, and vdp gene. The screening method uses an expression level of at least one of the elk-1 gene, dbi gene, map4k4 gene, osbpl2 gene, rab7 gene, and vdp gene as an index. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
