<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake air control device capable of controlling an intake air quantity efficiently by an actuator in an internal combustion engine equipped with at least two cylinders. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine 10 having the plurality of cylinders 12 is provided with a shaft body 3 arranged over respective intake passages 17 for the at least two cylinders 12, the actuator 4 for rotating and driving the shaft body 3 in both normal and reverse directions, a valve element 2, arranged for the shaft element 3 via an one-way clutch 5, switched between an open state for opening the intake air passage 17 and a close state for closing the intake air passage by being rotated and driven to respectively different directions by the shaft element 3 and a holding mechanism 6 for holding the valve element 2 in the open state or the close state.
