The invention aims at providing acrylic hollow particles which can be produced at a far lower cost than that of nylon particles and which exhibit softness, moistness, and spreadability which are equivalent or near to those of nylon particles; a process for the production of the particles; and cosmetics containing the particles. Acrylic hollow particles made from both a copolymer of a non-crosslinking (meth)acrylate ester monomer (A-1) which can give a homopolymer having a glass transition temperature of 50°C or below and a monomer (A-2) having two or more unsaturated double bonds and a (meth)acrylic polymer (B), characterized in that the copolymer comprises 45 to 90wt% of the monomer (A-1) and 10 to 55wt% of the monomer (A-2) and that the openings of the particles are formed in prescribed sizes; a process for the production of the acrylic hollow particles; and cosmetics containing the particles.
