<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera module with a socket which contributes to space saving in mounting by minimizing a height in mounting a camera module on a mother board or the like via the socket. <P>SOLUTION: The camera module with the socket includes: a wiring board 20; a lens unit 30 disposed on the wiring board to house an image sensor 25 and wiring 22 therein and comprising a lens holder 34 for holding a lens part 32 above the image sensor 25; and a socket 40 disposed to surround the lens unit. The lens holder 34 has wiring 38 formed along its outer circumferential surface. The socket 40 has wiring 44 through the inside of the socket in a height direction, wiring 46 connected to the above wiring and formed to extend in a horizontal direction and to be exposed partially inside the socket 40, and external connecting terminals 48a, 48b bound to portions of the wiring 44 exposed on both the sides of the socket 40. One end of the wiring 38 of the lens holder 34 is connected to the wiring 22 of the wiring board 20, and an end of the wiring 46 exposed inside the socket 40 is connected to another end of the wiring 38. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
