<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constitution with sufficient appearance and a high design property in a vehicular lighting system provided at a lower edge of a vehicle door. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicular lighting system is provided at the lower edge of the vehicle door, and lighted in a state that the vehicle door is opened to light a road surface. The vehicular lighting system is provided with an LED lamp, and a flat plate-like light guide plate arranged so that a lower surface becomes parallel to the lower edge of the vehicle door, i.e., the light guide plate having an end surface opposed to the LED lamp and becoming an incident part formed with grooves continuously aligned in a direction left from the incident part on an upper surface opposed to the lower surface and having a lower surface becoming a light release surface. The vehicular lighting system is constituted so that an interface of the groove on a wall surface at the end surface side wholly reflects light incident from the incident part and generates the light in a lower surface direction, and the groove is deep as it is positioned far from the incident part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
