<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of flicker caused by a fixing device, and to reduce switching noise when PWM controlling, to suppress terminal noise voltage at a supply end of an AC power supply. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes a heating device for heating a roller (heating roller) out of a pair of fixing rollers, and allows a pair of the fixing rollers to perform pressure welding of a recording medium on the surface of which an image has been formed, thereby fixing the image on the recording medium. The heating device includes heaters that are arranged in the heating roller and divided into a plurality of load systems, a rectifier circuit that converts externally input power of AC power supply into DC, a switch circuit that is connected to an output side of the rectifier circuit and switches a connection state between the heaters of the respective load systems, and a control part that PWM controls the switch circuit so that the mean value of load current of the rectifier circuit may increase in a ramp shape.
