PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lawn protecting mat effectively prevented from floatage, deformation, or dropping (cutting). SOLUTION: This lawn protecting mat 1 includes a body 10 provided with a lawn passing space, a projecting pillar 20 provided on the upper side of the body, a log 30 provided on the lower side of the body, and mat ground fixing means connected to the body 10 so as to place a portion 40 to which mat fixtures 100', 100a and 100b are fixed when constructing the mat, below at least the body 10. The lawn protecting mat 1 improves earth connection force with the ground by placing the mat ground fixing portion 40 on the ground as near as possible so as to stick and push the mat ground fixing portion 40 when constructing the lawn protecting mat at site.
