<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved pair of multi-position pliers that can be quickly adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: A first member 2 forms an opening between a jaw and a handle 6, and the opening is demarcated between a first sidewall and a second sidewall, wherein the first sidewall, the second sidewall and the handle can be integrally formed as a unitary piece. The jaws 14 can be integrally formed with the handle and the sidewalls. A second member 4 includes an elongated slot and one row of teeth. A pivot member extends along the axis of rotation and includes a tooth engaged with the row of teeth. The pivot member moves between a first position where the teeth are engaged and the movement of the first jaw away from the second jaw is prevented and a second position where the teeth are disengaged and the movement of the first jaw away from the second jaw is permitted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
