<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing an inorganic oxide from which organic content is removed substantially. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the inorganic oxide satisfying the inequality: 0≤[X](=[A]/[B])≤0.1 (wherein [A] is the weight of the organic content contained in the inorganic oxide; [B] is the weight of the ash content of the inorganic oxide) has the steps of: dispersing the organic content-containing inorganic oxide in water; and separating the inorganic oxide from the obtained dispersion liquid.
