The installation has control units for activating a secondary compressor (9) when a temperature of exterior air is lower than a predefined threshold. Secondary heat transfer fluid e.g. tetrafluoroethane, in the secondary compressor is previously evaporated in a secondary evaporator (10) by exchange the secondary fluid with main heat transfer fluid e.g. tetrafluoroethane, issued from a main condenser (3). The secondary fluid is reheated by compression before ceding fluid i.e. water, by condensing calories of the secondary fluid accumulated by compression. An independent claim is also included for a method for heating fluid by using a thermodynamic heat pump installation.
