A zoom lens system includes a zoom unit (62), a compensation unit (64) and an imaging unit fixed on a same light axis in sequence, a drive transmission mechanism and a micro-process control unit. In which the drive transmission mechanism includes a zoom step motor (51) and a compensation step motor (53). The zoom unit (62) is fixed on the output axis of the zoom step motor (51) by a zoom transmission unit (52). The compensation unit (64) is fixed on the output axis of the compensation step motor (53) by a compensation transmission unit (52). The micro-process control unit adjusts the distance between the compensate unit (64) drived by the compensation step motor (53) and the imaging unit according to the distance change between the zoom unit (62) drived by the zoom step motor (51) and the imaging unit.
