A system (10) for judging communication distance based on error rate statistical data includes an RF mobile terminal (12) with an RF SIM card (11) and an RF control terminal (13). The method includes the following steps: an empirical database of the error rate is established for each kind of RF mobile terminal; the RF mobile terminal (12) which is to be tested communicates with the RF control terminal (13), and the RF mobile terminal (12) communicates with the reference antenna array (131) of the RF control terminal (13) at a certain test distance; the actual test result is compared with error rates recorded in the empirical database, and the approximate range of the communication distance between the RF mobile terminal (12) and the RF control terminal (13) can thereby be judged. Through the method in this application, the data communication distance between a RF communication terminal and a RF communication device can be reliably controlled to within a near field range, thus ensuring transaction security and basic communication reliability.
