A front of dash (FOD) assembly and a method thereof, more particularly to a unique integrated front of dash assembly including a composite sandwich construction. The FOD including an engine dash-mat member and a heat shield layer disposed on the outer surface; a firewall member; a cabin dash-mat member; and at least one component connected to the at least one attachment member and disposed on front of dash assembly composite panel member selected from the group consisting of an HVAC assembly, a brake booster, at least one control pedal assembly, at least one electrical wire harness, and at least one brake line, wherein the above components are assembled together prior to installation in the motor vehicle.
