ORGANIC LIGHT EMITTING DISPLAY AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An organic electroluminescent display device and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent the deterioration of an organic light emitting diode by controlling the light emitting time of pixels in order to compensate the deterioration of organic light-emitting DIODE of each pixel. CONSTITUTION: A photo sensor(61) senses an amount of light from an organic light emitting diode of a dummy pixel(42) with a frame unit. An amplification unit(62) supplies the amplified voltage to a comparison unit(63) after amplifying a sensing voltage. The comparison unit compares the sensing voltage with a reference voltage provided from a reference voltage generation unit(64) and supplies a comparison signal to a counter(65). The reference voltage generation unit supplies a constant reference voltage to the comparison unit. The dummy pixel emits the light after receiving a data signal generated from dummy data. The counter controls the bit of dummy data to generate the same sensing voltage as the reference voltage.
