The method involves receiving an access request for accessing a communication network for a shared time interval, where the access request is identical to another access request. The former access request is emitted during collision time interval by an applicant node. A main transmission channel of the communication network is accessed during the shared time interval in a case where the applicant node is priority according to a predetermined criteria from access information contained in the access requests. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program product comprising a set of instructions for implementing a method for accessing a main transmission channel of a communication network (2) computer readable storage unit comprising a set of instructions for implementing a method for accessing a main transmission channel of a communication network (3) an applicant node belonging to a communication network, comprising a transmission unit for transmitting an access request.
