<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the reliability of information content in a business information provision service system by enriching the number of candidate companies and amount of business information and updating the newest business information whenever needed. <P>SOLUTION: The business information provision service system which provides users with business information through the Internet 5 includes: an information collection means 2 which collects various kinds of business information which includes original attached information, such as e-mail address, in addition to basic information, such as a company name and telephone number; an identification code assignment means 7 which assigns a unique identification code to at least each business carried by a telephone directory; a business information database DB which associates the identification code and the business information for every business and stores them; and an update means 4 to update the business information stored in the business information database DB whenever needed.
