PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable hybrid type working machine for suppressing damage to a DC bus or a step-up/-down converter by restricting the demagnetizing operation of a lifting magnet when the DC bus or the step-up/-down converter is malfunctioned. SOLUTION: The hybrid type working machine includes an electric working element and the lifting magnet to be electrically driven. It comprises a battery for giving/receiving electric power between the electric working element and the lifting magnet, the DC bus connecting the electric working element to the lifting magnet, the step-up/-down converter arranged between the DC bus and the battery, a drive control part for controlling the lifting magnet to be driven, and a malfunction detecting part for detecting the malfunction of the battery, the DC bus, or the step-up/-down converter.
