A liquid crystal display device includes a plurality of video signal lines; a plurality of video signal input terminals, the number of which is less than the number of video signal lines; and a switch circuit interposed between the plurality of video signal input terminals and the plurality of video signal lines, wherein the switch circuit has a plurality of switch elements and a plurality of switching wires, each of the plurality of video signal lines is connected to one of the plurality of video signal input terminals via one of the plurality of switch elements, each of the plurality of video signal input terminals being connected to a plurality of video signal lines, the switching wires, to which are connected the switch elements connected one to each of the plurality of video signal lines, differ from one another, and each of the plurality of switching wires being connected to a plurality of switch elements, among the video signal lines connected one to each of the plurality of switch elements, there exist two or more kinds of number of other video signal lines disposed between two adjacent video signal lines.
