摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deviation between a target throttle opening and an actual throttle opening or between a required engine flow rate and an actual flow rate, in a throttle control device of an internal combustion engine, in which a throttle motor is controlled such that an opening of a throttle valve is the same with its target opening. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A throttle target opening lower limit guard value is calculated based on a throttle command voltage lower limit guard value which is obtained by making the throttle valve abut in a full closing position. A lower limit of the throttle target opening is regulated using the throttle target opening lower limit guard value. A required engine flow rate lower limit guard value is calculated based on the throttle command voltage lower limit guard value (a throttle target opening lower limit guard value). A lower limit of the required engine flow rate is regulated using the required engine flow rate lower limit guard value. Such a guard process allows the gap made between the target throttle opening and actual throttle opening or between the required engine flow rate and actual flow rate to be eliminated.
