A reflective light emitting diode is provided with a lead (7), which is on an element mounting side and horizontally and linearly extending at an upper center section of a reflection surface (2) in a recessed case (6); a lead (8), which is on a wire connecting side and horizontally extending at the upper center section of the reflection surface (2) in the recessed case (6) while bending; a light emitting element (9) mounted on a center side leading end of a lead on the element mounting side; and a wire (10) bonded between the light emitting element and the center side leading end section of the lead on the wire connecting side. Thus, a reflective light emitting diode for manufacturing a highly reliable product at a high yield without disconnecting the wire during manufacture is provided.
