<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device having a configuration capable of obtaining a satisfactory image without image density variation by improving collection properties of untransferred toner, i.e. so-called transfer residual toner and by preventing the generation of toner filming due to the residual untransferred toner. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes a first developing means 26K20 and a second developing means 26K21 disposed facing each other along the moving direction of a photoreceptor 25. The first developing means 26K20 includes a developing roller rotated while bringing two-component developer comprising magnetic carrier and toner on the surface into contact with a photoreceptor 25K. The second developing means 26K21 includes a developing roller carrying only toner on the surface and rotated while brought into contact with the photoreceptor. The first and second developing means 26K20, 26K21 are used as a means for collecting the transfer residual toner left on the photoreceptor 25K when the photoreceptor 25K faces thereto after a toner image formed on the photoreceptor 25K is transferred. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
