<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer for hybrid development, which can prevent the occurrence of image memory and reduction of image density sufficiently for a long time without complicating a structure of the device and increasing size of the device, and to provide an image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: The developer for hybrid development contains toner particles containing a binder resin and coloring agent, carriers for electrostatically charging the toner particles owing to the friction contact with the toner particles, and reverse polarity particles charged electrostatically into reverse polarity to charged polarity of the toner particles owing to the friction contact with the carriers. The carrier has saturation magnetization of 20-50 Am<SP>2</SP>/kg, volumetric average particle diameter of 15-45 μm, and dynamic current value of 0.1-0.8 μA. The content of the reverse polarity particles is 0.1-2.0 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the toner particles.
