PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive and pull out a wedge without damaging a wood member reducing manufacturing costs. SOLUTION: This building joint metal 1 comprises: the wedge 2 which has a pair of opposed wedge plates 21 with a taper surface 211 formed, an upper plate 22 and a nut 23 for the wedge; a connecting member 3 which has a connecting portion body 31, a connecting means 32 and a locking means (locking nut) 33, and which is inserted into a hole 83 for the connecting member, provided in a beam 8; and an abutting member 4 which is composed of a curved plate 41 formed with a hole 42 for the connecting portion body, which is housed in a hole 84 for the wedge, provided in the beam 8, and which abuts on the wedge 2. The wedge 2 is pressed in between the abutting member 4 and the locking means (locking nut) 33 in a state in which the connecting portion body 31 is sandwiched between the pair of wedge plates 21.
